About

H. R. Archer was born in August 1993, Glasgow, and grew up in Southall, London. He attended the local Blair Peach Primary School, Villiers High School, and Greenford Sixth Form. It was here his passion for writing grew.

Archer worked on his short stories whilst studying Mechanical Engineering at Brunel University, and was a founding member of the Storytellers’ Society. A few years later, after graduating from Brunel and completing an MSc in Petroleum Engineering at Imperial College London, he finished the first drafts of A Species Beneath and two other stories. A Species Beneath was finally published in 2017.

Archer currently resides in Edinburgh, being employed full-time in financial services. He still writes, however, with his goals first and foremost to question and incite deep thought in his readers.
